Biennial Election Postponed :
Biennial Elections to the Council of States from the States of Goa, Gujarat and West Bengal. The term of office of 10 members of the Rajya Sabha elected from 3 States is due to expire on their retirement in July and August, 2017

The Commission has decided to withdraw Press Note No. ECI/PN/40/2017 dated 16th May, 2017. The Commission will announce programme for holding Biennial Election to Council of States from Goa, Gujarat and West Bengal in due course.
