TN Elections Get EPIC

Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC) centres have been set up for all the 234 Assembly Constituencies in the State of Tamil Nadu at one centre for each Assembly Constituency. The location of these centres is given in the Annexure.

** A person may need to get his name included in the electoral roll if he was not registered earlier or due to shift of residence / change of address.

** A person’s name is there in electoral roll but some correction is required in his details (like spelling of his or relation’s name, age etc.,) or his image in the electoral roll.
** His name is there in the electoral roll but he has not got EPIC.

Procedure to Get EPIC

Final publication of Electoral Rolls with reference date as 01/01/2019 has been published on 31/01/2019. The voters whose EPIC is torn /damaged/mutilated/lost they can approach nearby e-seva centers operated by TACTV.

For all the New Electors who enrolled first time in this Special Summary Revision, 2019 , Elector’s Photo Identity Card (EPIC) will be issued through their respective Booth Level Officers(BLO).

2. Electors who apply for correction in electors’ details (spelling, age, address) in electoral roll/ EPIC :
A person who is already registered in an Assembly Constituency at the present address but the elector’s details need correction, should fill and submit Form 8 (this should be in duplicate during non- revision period) with 2 passport size photographs for making the changes in the electoral rolls and for issue of replacement EPIC after the ERO passes orders for correction.

In the case of the following defects in EPIC, the EPIC will be replaced free of charge-
** Wrong Photo
** Incorrect name of elector
** Incorrect relation type
** Incorrect age
** Wrong sex
** Incorrect or incomplete address

The EPIC holder seeking correction has to apply in Form 001C. He will have to surrender the EPIC available with him while getting the replacement EPIC. The replacement EPIC will have the same number as the original one.
