The following notification of the Election Commission of India, New Delhi, No. 100APLA12015, dated 19″ January, 2015/29 Pausa, 1936 (Saka) is published

NOTIFICATION :
Whereas, the seat of Sri M. Venkataramana in the Legislative Assembly of the Andhra Pradesh State, elected from 167-Tirupati Assembly Constituency has become vacant on 15December, 2014, by reason of death; and
Whereas, a byeelection is to be held for the purpose offilling the vacancy so caused;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of Section 150, Sections 30 and 56 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission of India hereby
A) Calls upon the said 167-Tirupati Assembly Constituency in the State of Andhra Pradesh to elect, before the 18″ February, 2015 (Wednesday) and in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder, a person for the purpose offilling the said vacancy in the Legislative Assembly of the State; and
(B) Appoints, with respect to the said election
a) the 27″ January, 2015 (Tuesday), as the last date for making nominations; (b) the 28″ January, 2015 (Wednesday), as the date for the scrutiny of nominations;
(c) the 30″ January, 2015 (Friday), as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures;
(d) the 13″ February, 2015 (Friday), as the date, on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken;
(e) the 18″ February, 2015 (Wednesday), as the date before which the election shall be completed; and
(C) Fixes the hours from .00A.. to 600 PM, as the hours during which the poll shall, if necessary, be taken on the date specified above for the election. By order,
