What is BJP Membership Drive?
** The first phase of the membership drive starting from September 2 will be over by September 25. Post this, the second phase will run from October 1 to October 15.
** The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has relaunched its membership campaign, starting on Monday, September 2. Party President JP Nadda kicked off the drive by enrolling Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a member. Following this, top BJP leaders, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah, also signed up.
** Amit Shah emphasised the unique nature of BJP’s membership campaign, noting that it is the only political party in the country that conducts such a campaign democratically. Shah stated that the party aims to reach a goal of 10 crore members, with workers playing a crucial role in connecting the organisation to the government.
