National Electoral Search
1. Internet users can access the information by following “National Electoral Search” link provided on the website of the Election Commission of India.
2. Mobile Internet users can access the services through a specially designed website electoralsearch.in.
3. Android phone based users can install an application from the Mobile Seva AppStore of the Government (apps.mgov.gov.in under electoral category).
4. Mobile users can use SMS service by sending a pre-formatted SMS to the predefined numbers.
4.1 The services are available on a special three digit code 166 provided for BSNL, Idea, MTNL, Tata Docomo, Tata Indicom and Vodafone users.
4.2 A special five digit code 51969 is provided for accessing the service by operators such as Aircel, Airtel, BSNL, Idea, MTS, Reliance, Tata Docomo, Tata Indicom, Uninor, Videocon and Vodafone.
4.3 A user can access the service by sending the SMS to a 10-digit number 09223166166.

1. Can a non-citizen be a candidate?
No. A non citizen cannot be a contesting candidate in the elections. Article 84 (a) of the Constitution of India envisages that a person shall not be qualified to be chosen to fill up a seat in the Parliament unless he is a citizen of India. Similar provision exists for State Legislative Assemblies in Article 173 (a) of the Constitution.
2. Is there any concession for a candidate belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe ?
Yes. The same section 34 of R. P. Act, 1951 provides that a candidate belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe is required to make a security deposit of Rs. 5,000 (Rupees Five Thousand Only).

I could not find my name in the voter list. What is the reason?
I want the copy of the electoral list. How can I get it?

In spite of submitting of correction forms the names in the electoral rolls are not being corrected. And if amendments are made even then new mistakes appear in the names or date of birth. May I know how can it be corrected?
The Panchyat election process is too slow, kindly speed up the process for the development of grassroot level.
You give training to everyone from ERO to BLO but why did the clerical staff of your department not get the proper training?
You are doing a good job, but will you please explain why the election work is so lazy? I mean, if anybody provides its formalities today and other one has done same a year ago, the first one gets his epic faster than the rest. Many people submitted their documents twice but still don't have any output. Their names are available at BLOS submission list but not enrolled.
Epics are not provided by ceojk to every voter, because of blo's negligence and entered wrong address names and etc

On searching the electoral roll of 18- Hazratbal, it is not traceable anywhere. Clicking the search button, it often shows the webpage is not available. May kindly favor me by providing reply, what does it mean?
