Terms & Conditions of Membership
I swear to abide by the following principles of the party:
1. I shall abide by the constitution of the Rising People’s Party and shall imbibe its ideology and implement its aims and objectives.
2. I understand that any system without morality leads to decadence.
3. I understand that my role in any system is to promote peace and curb divisiveness.
4. I understand that my calling is to bring about a just social and political order and I promise to uphold it.
5. I understand that leadership is about commitment and integrity and I promise to maintain it.
6. I understand that leadership in any system or organization is about Godly submission to authority and I promise to uphold it.
7. I understand that any other interests that I may have, including personal interests, is subservient to the party’s interests and I promise to uphold it.
8. I understand that many a times such personal interests manifest in the form of factionalism and groupism within the party and I refuse to indulge in it.
9. I understand that I am free to leave the party at any point of time without bringing it into disrepute and I promise to abide by it.
10. I understand that any discussion within the party is within the bounds of secrecy and confidentiality and I promise to uphold it.
11. I promise to be an active participant in all the activities of the party as assigned.
12. I promise that I shall be fair and transparent in my dealings, either with my colleagues or as an ambassador representing the party.
13. I promise to devotedly serve the masses and consistently strengthen my bonds with them.
14. I believe and shall abide and uphold the honourable principle of “All for one and one for all.”
15. I promise that as a loyal adherent of the party and as a member of a party based on the foundation of Christian ethics, values and principles, I shall be above corruption or petty politics arising out of all forms of ‘isms.’
Having sworn to uphold the principles of the party, I, hereby, state the following to submit myself to the terms and conditions of membership of the party:
1. That I am not a registered member of any political party.
2. That I am eligible to vote in elections i.e., I am above 18 years of age and a citizen of India.
3. That I am not a convicted criminal.
4. That I am not a practicing polygamist or polyandrist.
5. That I agree to be put under 6 months probationary period after which my membership will be reviewed by the party.
6. I understand that:
a) By definition both Primary and Active members are life-long dedicated members of the party.
b) There is no annual membership fee renewal for members choosing to remain as Primary members in the party.
c) Any Primary member may choose to become an Active member after 2 years of consecutive primary membership in which case one shall have to pay the membership fee of Rs. 100/- annually without fail.
d) Only an Active member is eligible to become an office-bearer of the party.
7. That I am liable to be expelled from the party for furnishing false information.
8. That I have read through the entire membership form.
Principles Of The Rising People’s Party
** The party shall be guided by the resounding call for change by our people and their aspirations to bring healing, restoration and rebuilding of our land.
** The party firmly believes that political power is derived from the people and the people have the power to bring change.
** Towards this end, the party shall empower our people to contribute towards the vision and goals of the party and, through this, seek to rediscover the genius of the Naga people whose wisdom, knowledge and experiences shall form the building blocks for the present and the future.
** The party shall work to define and construct a socio-economic-political blueprint based on our people’s concerns, needs and aspirations.
About Rising People’s Party
** We, members present on this day the 2nd of October, 2020, hereby, declare the formation of a political party by the name Rising People’s Party
** Resolved to establish a political paradigm that defines Power with Morality, a social order that upholds Justice for all and Equality before law, a civic governance that is based on Accountability and Transparency, and a citizenry that is aware of its Rights and respects its Obligations.
** Guided by the ‘Theology’ and ‘Vision Statement’ of The Naga Rising, the party shall stand and serve to accomplish the purpose and goals for which is it created as a solemn duty before God and the People.
